Require suitably experienced and qualified track workers, welders and track machine plant operators to perform a range of general labouring duties associated with track maintenance and conditioning for blocks of work around the Dubbo, Nyngan, Narrabri, Tamworth, Bathurst, West Wyalong, Goulburn and central NSW areas. This work may include ongoing casual assignments as well as scheduled shutdown work.
Multiple roles available for suitably qualified candidates that are available for start in early August, local candidates are encouraged to apply and a locality allowance is available for those sucessful candidates that meet the criteria. Excellent rates of pay.
To be considered for these roles, you must meet the following criteria: –
Own transport/able to get to remote locations
Rail Safety Worker Card (RISI) (ESSENTIAL)
White Card- general construction induction (ESSENTIAL)
Onsite Track Easy/ Rail Industry Worker (RIW) Pegasus Card (ESSENTIAL)
ARTC Induction (ESSENTIAL)
CRN Induction (ESSENTIAL)
Current ARTC approved Category 3 Rail Medical (ESSENTIAL)
Units of competency from rail infrastructure relevant for role, track work, resleepering, welding, safe working, structures, track machine operator (ESSENTIAL)
ARTC Track Maintainer units of competency- (Certificate II or III in Transport Logistics – Rail Infrastructure) (PREFERRED)
Verification of Competency for operating relevant plant, track machine, e.g excavator, dozer, front end loader, roller, tamper etc (HIGHLY REGARDED)
Proven rail labouring experience as outlined above
Applicants should be capable of performing repetitive, physically demanding manual tasks in an outdoor environment and must be willing to participate in random drug and alcohol testing.
