Our host employer owns and operates a maintenance and repair business. They work on quarry equipment and power stations. They offer a fast paced, client focused working environment for a dedicated school based apprentice to join their team.

Duties of this position are varied and will include but will not be limited to;

Welding

Cutting of metal materials

Accurate measurement of materials

Reading and interpreting drawings

General cleaning

Assisting the tradesmen

This position is working one day a week in the school term and attending TAFE one day a week. The successful candidate will attend school the other three days and complete their HSC over the 2 year term.

As part of this school based apprenticeship you will also be PAID to commence studying a Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade through OFF the Job Training over a 24 month period.

Our Host Employer has been operating since 1986; with their product and services range expanding in recent years. They supply aluminothermic welding consumables, rail joints, track equipment, grinding services and technical support to their clients on a international level. Our host are a company that are constantly developing and are currently introducing new products to assist in local developments.

They are searching for an apprentice that will be working within a fast-paced, professional environment, where staff work well as a team and are client focused.

Your responsibilities within the apprenticeship will include the following but is not limited to:

Assembly of products

Fabrication of products

General cleaning

Provide maintenance support to factory

As the successful candidate, you will have excellent computer skills, motivated and goal orientated with the right attitude to learn.

This position is for someone who can work a range of hours Monday to Friday,

As part of this traineeship, you will be paid to study a Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade through OFF The job training at Hunter Institute of TAFE – Gosford campus.
