Central Coast Group Training is the Coast’s leading employer of apprentices and trainees and has been in operation for over 34 years.

Our host employer is a family owned and operated business that specialise in the distribution of trailer spares. They sell new trailers along with custom trailers for customers along with repairs and services. Our host is now searching for an honest and hard working apprentice to join their team.

As the successful candidate you will be conducting the following duties, but you will not be limited to;

  • Fabrication of guards
  • Working with sheet metal
  • General cleaning and maintenance
  • Welding and working with other machinery
  • Working on other parts of trailers including body components

To be considered for this position, you will be able to demonstrate your passion for the industry and your ability to work within a team.

This position is working 38 hours a week with overtime when required. You will need to be available to work Monday through to Friday.

As part of the apprenticeship you will be PAID to study a Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade through OFF the job training at Gosford TAFE.

Boilermaker – Aurizon

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Aurizon’s new Hexham Maintenance Facility is now open! Our team at Hexham are responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of Aurizon’s rollingstock fleet in NSW, by effectively maintaining and repairing locomotives, wagons and associated components.

As the successful candidate, you will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team who strive for quality in all tasks they undertake.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive an efficient and effective service by performing simple trouble shooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications and preventative maintenance procedures on operational requirements

Assist the development of Apprentices and Locomotive Maintainers.

Carry out duties in a safe manner in accordance with Aurizon policies, regulations and procedures and the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Act.

Perform general duties as directed by various Managers and Coordinators.

Utilise and input accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.

Assist with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the depot to enhance customer service.

SKILLS EXPERIENCE:
Substantial level of skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification, minor repairs and the carrying out of preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock or similar equipment in accordance with the responsibilities of the position

Proven level of skill in stainless steel welding

HC Licence (highly desirable)

LF Licence (highly desirable)

CN Licence (highly desirable)

Ability to work day or afternoon shifts between the hours of 9am- 11pm

Ability to be ‘on-call’ through a rotating roster

Sound computer skills

Substantial level of skill working in a collaborative environment

CNC Machinist – Electrical Manufacturer

Technical Qualifications

  • Strong fitting skills required
  • Have previous fabrication experience
  • Have previous welding experience
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess the ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • 5 Years + Experience with qualifications
