First and second year apprentices will be considered.

This is a full time position.

Duties Include:
Learning all aspects Metal Fabrication

Workshop based with some on-site work

Listening and following instructions from supervisors

Following all WHS Policies Procedures

General Housekeeping

Welding, cutting, bending sheet metal

Attending and passing TAFE

You will be studying Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Light Fabrication)

We will soon require an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Team

Leader to join the team and continue our success as a safety focused business,

committed to our customers and our people. This hands on role will see you

primarily responsible for providing maintenance services to various

machinery and other assets within our facility. You will also be accountable

for leading and performing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, responding

to breakdowns and working with our operational and other trade professionals to

fault find and rectify asset reliability issues. With a focus on implementing

timely, efficient and effective solutions, this a role that will see you

supporting equipment availability, minimising downtime and balancing your time

between our workshop and the plant as you will also be a central figure in

leading and planning regular shutdown activities.

With

a hands on focus and the opportunity to lead and influence other trade

professionals, this is a crucial role in supporting production and offers you a

unique working environment to ply your trade and expand on your experience.

The

role will see you working across day shift, with some flexibility when

required, including overtime and call in’s as required.

You

will be a qualified mechanical trades professional (Fitter) and possess

significant trade experience, ideally within a heavy industrial or production

based environment. Equally important will be your overall mechanical aptitude,

experience with many forms of mechanical equipment including; hydraulics,

pneumatics, welding and rotating machinery. You will be someone who has the

ability to proactively fault find, work autonomously and utilise your high

level of initiative, supporting by your ability to meet deadlines. With a

flexible, team based approach and demonstrated commitment to safety, you will

be someone who is driven to achieve in an environment focused on safe and

efficient customer outcomes. Those with previous experience in the use of SAP

will be viewed favourably.

You

Forklift licence

Prior GMP facility experience
